The American School Band Directors Association is an extremely prestigious national organization for band directors of the highest quality.  The primary goal of the ASBDA is to promote the concert band as the focus of an educational curriculum which teaches music as artistic expression.

The North Carolina Chapter of ASBDA remains one of the largest and most active chapters in the country.  Its membership exhibits the highest level of quality in the field of music education and recognizes the need for fostering student achievement in the performing arts.
